1. Correspondence Law
This first law is also known as the law of the mirror, as it means that everything you experience and how you experience it is due to how you perceive reality. It's summed up in the following statement: "As above, so below; as within, so without." Thus, this influences your personal relationships. If there's something you want to change about a person you don't feel connected to, you must first change your perception of that person.
2. Law of Cause and Effect
This law, also known as the law of Karma in many places, means that "every cause has its effect." Therefore, all our actions will have consequences or effects that will be returned to us with the same energy with which we did them. Even if it's not short-term and we don't see it at the moment, it will eventually happen.
3. Law of Vibration
We are all driven by vibrations, and even if we don't want things to change, the universe doesn't. This universal law tells us that we must accept that, in the end, nothing is constant and that, whether we like it or not, everything is in motion. We can't avoid it, and all we can do is accept it.
4. Law of Mentalism
The law of mentalism explains that everything becomes a reality, but it's first an idea in our mind. We can't ignore how powerful the mind is and how it's always the origin of everything physical. To use this principle to our advantage, you have to remember that both our thoughts and our actions must be in harmony, so direct your thoughts where you want your actions to go!
5. Law of Polarity
This law defends the duality of our reality, meaning that everything has its pair of opposites. There can be no love without hate, no wealth without poverty, no happiness without sadness, and so on. One way to interpret this law of the Kybalion is that, to change a situation or feeling, you must first understand its opposite. This way, you can change what torments you because, as the law of vibration also explains, we don't live in a constant state; everything changes. This way, we can move from one situation to its opposite.
6. Law of Rhythm
The law of rhythm explains how everything ebbs and flows like a pendulum. In life, everything has its time and cycles, so you have to follow its rhythm and trust that everything will eventually pass. So remember, if you're having a hard time due to a situation, everything passes, and eventually the time will come when you're better. The important thing is to understand that everyone has their own cycles and you have to let things flow. Don't compare yourself to the rhythm of others, and respect the timing the universe has for each thing.
7. Generation Law
The last of the 7 universal laws maintains that everything has a masculine and feminine principle. What it means is that there are characteristics of both genders, and by integrating them into our lives, we can live in that desired harmony. Protective and receptive energies are associated with the feminine; while conquering and progressive energies are associated with the masculine.
