Zirconite is a gemstone with macroscopic properties similar to those of diamond, especially in transparency. It is one of the cubic forms of zirconium oxide, with high hardness. Because it resembled the diamond so closely, it was associated with wisdom and distinction. Chalcedony is a cryptocrystalline variety of quartz. Of volcanic origin, with multiple varieties and colors. In ancient times it represented the elements air and water. It is the stone of generosity, harmonizes body and mind. It has deposits all over the world, the most important being in Brazil and India; and in Spain, in Galicia and Aragon. Tourmaline is a type of silicate. It is one of the most versatile semiprecious stones, available in various colors, from colorless to black. It presents different colors or depths of color when viewed from different angles, such as turning the stone in the light. The one Lavani uses is the red or pink tourmaline, also known as Rubellite. While many gemstones change color depending on the light source, a true Rubellite shines as brightly in artificial light as it does in daylight, while other pink or red Tourmalines show a visible tinge of brown in artificial light.
