Films and series with a feminist message that you can't miss this week #8M

Although in recent years the much needed feminist message that we want to convey has been much more embodied in the films and series that have been appearing on the scene. Take paper and pen to write down, or directly the popcorn and get ready: with these series/movies you will feel identified, empowered and you will find women references that will not leave you indifferent.

CABLE GIRLS

Las chicas del cable. Feminist movies and series.

Rather than giving a lesson on feminism, this series shows a reality set in the Second Republic and tells the struggle for women's rights through the story of the three main characters. It has hooked everyone who has seen it and features one of our favorite actresses: Blanca Suarez.

ERIN BROCKOVICH

Erin Brokovich. Feminist films and series.

Julia Roberts' quintessential feminist film for which she won the Oscar. Based on a true story, it tells the tale of a single mother who investigates a law firm case and will encounter many obstacles throughout the investigation and the process simply because she is a woman. An example of an empowered woman that we are sure will inspire you for this #8M.

THE MAID'S TALE

The Handmaid's Tale. Feminist movies and series.

One of the most revolutionary series of recent times. It tells the story of a woman trapped in a possible future in which fertile women became an object to be lent to families who want to have children. It has received many awards and we are sure you will be 100% hooked.

HIDDEN FIGURES

hidden figures. Feminist films and series.

This film is one of my favorites and tells and makes visible the story of three pioneering women scientists and their struggle as black women. It thus addresses the issues of race and gender and succeeds in bringing the lives and achievements of these three women out of obscurity. A film that could not be missing in our list of essentials for this coming women's day.

MILLION DOLLAR BABY

Million Dollar Baby. Feminist movies and series.

With Hillary Swank as the lead actress, an actress known for her committed roles on the big screen, this story wants to show the story of a woman who wants to become the star of the gym. A film that relates the issue of women in sport, which needs so much visibility.

MARVEL CAPTAIN

Captain Marvel. Feminist movies and series.

She is Marvel's first feminist icon. Although the first comics in which he appears date back to the 1970s, he didn't make his big screen breakthrough until this past year. It's about time! An independent woman, with her own powers and her importance within this well-known saga, who will transmit those powers to you so that you can feel as strong as you can this coming Women's Day.
