1. PREPARE YOUR NAILS WELL
The correct preparation of the nail is the most important and the most forgotten step. To make nail polish look beautiful and last much longer on our nails, we must follow three simple steps:
- Clean and disinfect the nails: it is important to wash our hands. In addition, to disinfect the nail, a cotton swab and some 90º alcohol, which we all have at home, will be enough.
- Push the cuticle back: it will make our nail look a little bigger and remove the excess skin that covers it. This can be done with an orange stick.
- File the nails very well: use a suitable file and always file in the same direction so that the nail is not damaged. Optional: file the surface of the nail (carefully!) to remove the natural shine and make the polish adhere better.
2. USES A BASE
After preparing the nail, it is important to use a base coat so that there is a layer between the nail and the colored polish. Generally, the base is transparent, although there are also some in pink or nude tones.
3. APPLY THIN LAYERS
This tip is very important! If we apply too thick layers of polish out of laziness or to finish our manicure sooner, the nails will not look beautiful and will also take much longer to dry.
